He is currently full professor and director of the HBK (Hortus Botanicus Karalitanus) at the University of Cagliari. Vice Coordinator of the Doctorate of Earth and environmental sciences and technologies. President of the Genmeda network and deputy president of the scientific council of Conservatoire Botanique National Corse. He is editor of Plant Biosystems, Plant Sociology, and associate editor of Documents Phytosociologiques and Mediterranean Botany.
