Foreign Students

 

Generally speaking, enrolment at UNICA varies depending on the type of degree you chose:
 
For a Bachelor’s Degree Programme:
To apply, you must:
Complete your enrolment by August 31st , 2026, on Universitaly
Register on the Unica website by logging in from the public Homepage of University of UNICA (cineca.it).
Sign up and take the admission or selection test (more details will be available in July 2026 at the following webpage: https://people.unica.it/segreteriastudentiscienzemmffnn/bandi-e-avvisi/)
Take the Italian language test.
If you pass the test, you must complete the online enrolment process via Homepage area pubblica, Università di UNICA (cineca.it) > Login > Segreteria > Immatricolazioni.
After online enrolment, upload the following documents in your reserved area on Esse3 (Career > Attachments):
Declaration of Value for your upper secondary school diploma and degree qualification
Entry visa and residence permit

Please note:
Upon arrival in Italy, students must produce the original documents to the student’s administration office at CITTADELLA DI MONSERRATO.
  
 
For a Master’s Degree Programme:
 
Mandatory Pre-Assessment

To access a Master’s Degree Programme (LM), a mandatory pre-assessment of qualifications is required.
The procedure to request it varies depending on the chosen Master’s programme.

Advanced Biotechnologies

  • Register and submit your pre-assessment application via the DreamApply platform
  • Application period: shortly, until July 15th, 2026

Cellular and Molecular Biology

  • Register and submit your pre-assessment application via the DreamApply platform
  • Application period: shortly, until June 30th, 2026


To enroll in any other Master’s degree programme, you must complete a compulsory pre-assessment by sending an email to documentibiofarmscienze@unica.it with the subject line:

Access Pre-Assessment LM [Name of the Course] A.A. 2026/27 – [Your Name & Surname]
Attach the following documents to your email:

  • Original final secondary school qualification, obtained after at least 12 years of schooling, accompanied by an official translation and legalization/apostille, or alternatively by a Statement of Verification of Authenticity issued by the Italian ENIC-NARIC centre (CIMEA).
  • Declaration of Value of the final secondary school diploma, or alternatively a Statement of Comparability issued by the Italian ENIC-NARIC centre (CIMEA).
  • Original first-cycle (Bachelor’s) degree (EQF level 6), accompanied by an official translation and legalization/apostille, or alternatively by a Statement of Verification of Authenticity issued by the Italian ENIC-NARIC centre (CIMEA), as well as a Declaration of Value of the first-cycle degree or, alternatively, a Statement of Comparability issued by the Italian ENIC-NARIC centre (CIMEA). (If not yet available, it may be submitted at a later stage.)
  • Transcript of Records or Diploma Supplement (in Italian or English);
  • For programmes entirely taught in Englishlanguage certificate of at least B2 level (CEFR);
  • Italian language certificate at B2 level for programmes taught (even partially) in Italian.
    If you do not have it, you will be required to take a language test;
  • Identity document (ID card or passport)
     
    Pre-Assessment Deadlines:
    Submit your pre-assessment request within the following timeframes:
    July 15th, 2026


Applications sent outside these periods will not be considered
 
Pre-Enrolment on Universitaly & Registration on Unica
 
If you receive a positive evaluation, you must:

1. Pre-enrol by August 31st , 2026, on Universitaly, uploading:
Higher education diploma & degree certificate (translated into Italian or English)
English language certification with the corresponding proficiency level
Important: Name each document correctly (e.g., TOR for transcripts, English Certificate B2).
Applications on Universitaly will not be accepted if:
Submitted for the wrong academic year
Not preceded by a positive pre-assessment
Submitted after August 31st , 2026
 
2. If your Master’s degree program includes exams in Italian, you must take the Italian language test.
 
3. Register on the Unica website by logging in from the public homepage of University of UNICA (cineca.it).
 
4. After registration, enrol on the Unica Website to the course of study.
 
 
After enrolling online, upload the following in your Esse3 reserved area (Career > Attachments):
Declaration of Value for your higher education diploma and degree certificate
Entry visa
Residence permit
 
 
Please note:
