Main research topics: Prof. Piga’s current research topics include immunogenetics, epidemiology, and assessment of disease activity and chronic irreversible consequences of organ damage. In addition, he is enthusiastically involved in rheumatology training programs primarily focused on managing connective tissue diseases.
