Michele Campagna

 
He received his PhD in Spatial Planning in2003 at the University of Cagliari, where he is currently Lecturer of Planning and member of the PhD board in Land Engineering. At University of Cagliari he teaches urban and regional planning and Planning Support Systems (PSS) (MSc Level), and GIScience (PhD level).

His research interests include issues related to the ICT and GIS adoption in the planning practice, Planning Support Systems, and the Scientific Method in Planning. He is author of more than sixty publications including papers in major international journals, international book chapters, a monograph on geo-information communication technologies for spatial planning and PSS. Moreover he is editor of the book “GIS for sustainable development” published in 2006 by Taylor and Francis.

He delivered talks at major international conferences on Spatial Planning and GIScience worldwide, and he was invited to give lectures and seminars at the University of Azzores (PT), Hafen City University (DE), Università della Basilicata and University of Sassari (IT).
