Ervas Francesca
Short Biography
Francesca Ervas is Research fellow in Philosophy of Language at the University of Cagliari, where she lectures Semantics and Pragmatics of Language.
She got her MA at the University of Padua in 2002 and her PhD at the University of Rome III in 2006. She was postdoc in Philosophy of Language at the University of Rome III, the UCL Department of Linguistics (London), the Institut Jean Nicod (ENS, Paris) and the University of Cagliari.
Her research focuses on translation theory and the semantics/pragmatics interface. Currently, she is working on metaphor comprehension in argumentation and pragmatic enrichment in translation.
