DAAD – German Academic Exchange Service
The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) is the largest funding organisation in the world which supports the international exchange of students, researchers and academic staff.
Every year DAAD offers grants and scholarships for all disciplines to Italian students, researchers and academics, and foreign researchers residing in Italy or who hold Italian degrees.
DAAD grants and scholarships have different duration from 3-4 weeks to 1 year according to programmes chosen, and they are awarded for study, short-stay or 1-year research periods, summer courses, German language courses.
General requirements:
Candidates should be Undergraduates (except first-year students), PhD students, Post-Doc, Academic Staff.
Graduate students should have a Master’s degree < 6 years, a PhD degree < 4 years.
Knowledge of German language is not compulsory as many courses are taught in English. Candidates must certificate their knowledge of English language (TOEFL, IELTS, DAAD Language Certificate).
Candidates must choose the German institution they consider more suitable for their interests.
