LEARNING DIGITAL: WHICH ISSUES FROM EDUCATION 2.0?

Cagliari JULY 2-3 2015

Increasing digitalization of schools, universities and training centres provides the basis for the  experimentation and innovation through both bottom-up and top-down research projects.

As a result, many of the “traditional” roles and rules that previously characterised  all the various contexts of socialisation, have now been re-configured according to “new” learning tools, habits and practices. What new directions will education take from here?  What “unexpected learning” outcomes and results can we otherwise expect from these changes?

How does educational technology affect the ways that people work together in schools? How do ICT influence teaching profession and classroom organization? How do ICT change interactions among students or among teachers? How might a digital environment interest sociability patterns and the students experience of social life ? Finally, how do gender, class, and ethnicity influence this experience within an increasingly technological framework?

     TOPICS:

  • Materiality in education
  • Communicative models of socialization
  • Tradition/innovation as a mainstream paradigm to read education
  • The process of  progressive “embodiment” of ICT in the classroom
  • Attitudes and values shared by students, teachers, headmasters etc.
  • Digital divide and inequalities (gender, generation, class, ethnicity ….)
  • Restructuring school curriculum via ICT tools
  • ICT and social control within the education context
  • Changes in teacher work and class/school organisation
  • ICT and Student achievement and equality
  • Market, State and the changes in the school field
  • Policies of innovation
  • Evaluation of technological innovation
  • Measurement of attitudes towards ICT in education and assessment
  • Initial and in-service teachers training and use of technology
  • ICT and didactic transposition of subject content
  • ICT and learning assessment
