How to get from the\u00a0 airport to the city<\/b><\/p>\n
From June 9th 2013 the airport is easily accessible by train from Cagliari and all major Sardinian cities thanks to the new \u2018Elmas Aeroporto\u2019 railway station. The rail service starts at about 5AM and ends after 9PM with 20 mins. average frequency. The journey to and from downtown takes 5-7 mins, single fare is 1.25 euro. Tickets are sold by Trenitalia at the vending machine located inside the station, online and by official ticket counters and authorized dealers.<\/p>\n
The airport train station is just a 5 minutes\u2019 walk from the air terminal: travel by train from and to any major Sardinian location is now possible and environment-friendly. For information on timetables, fares and further details, please visit :\u00a0http:\/\/www.sogaer.it\/en\/local-transportation\/train.html<\/a><\/p>\n Public Transport :<\/b><\/p>\n In Piazza Matteotti, in \u00a0Cagliari\u2019s Central Station, you can catch the CTM bus line “PF” (direction Quartu Sant’Elena) that will arrive in front of the hotel\u00a0http:\/\/www.qthotelcagliari.it\/en\/index.php<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0in 30 minutes.<\/p>\n The PF line stops at Poetto Beach, Cagliari City Centre, Cagliari\u2019s Port, Cagliari\u2019s Central Station.<\/p>\n The bus service in town is operated by CTM. The service is available 365 days a year however, on Sundays and public holidays there are fewer buses and timetables may be altered. Buses run from 4am to 00.50. You can buy single or return tickets at kiosks, bars or tabacchi or buy a discount card (if you are aged 26 or under) by applying to the CTM office Viale Trieste 159\/3 Cagliari. Check the internet for companies and locations.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner)<\/b><\/p>\n Breakfast is \u00a0served ( without cost)\u00a0 every morning in the hotel .<\/p>\n Your meals ( lunch and dinner) \u00a0are free of charge (only from Monday to Friday<\/span>) \u00a0offered by the European Commission.<\/p>\n Where you can eat???<\/b><\/p>\n In Piazza Michelangelo, Cagliari, in the canteen service \u201cERSU\u201d.<\/p>\n The service \u00a0is suspended on \u00a0Saturdays\u00a0 and Sundays and during public holidays.<\/p>\n Opening hours:<\/p>\n Meals are served at lunch time from 12:00 to 14:30 and at dinner time from 19:15 to 21:00.<\/p>\n from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.<\/p>\n All participants will be given from ISMOKA a document with personal data and a table to confirm that you are the participant of the Summer School.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Location of lectures:<\/b><\/p>\n The course begins with a general initial meeting in which we will be able to check or complete your registration.<\/p>\n All participants are warmly welcome to the meeting at \u00a010.00 in Cagliari, on 13.07.2013, \u00a0at the old University Library .<\/p>\n It is located in 32, Via Universit\u00e0, Phone number: 0039 070 661021<\/p>\n How to get there?<\/b><\/p>\n The shuttle service to and from the hotel is guaranteed to the students without cost.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n All lectures, from Monday to Friday, \u00a0as well as workshop will take place in the Faculty of Law, via Nicolodi, 101, opposite the Roman Amphitheatre, \u201cAULA MAGNA\u201d.<\/p>\n Lectures will be given from 9.00 a.m. to 1 p.m., whereas workshops from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.<\/p>\n The shuttle service to and from the hotel is guaranteed to the students without cost.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n Reimbursement:<\/b><\/p>\n You can claim and be reimbursed for your travel costs (flight + travel to\/from airport) from the University of Cagliari (your Project Coordinator) at the end of the Intensive Programme, upon condition that:<\/p>\n a. University of Cagliari is provided with your:<\/p>\n –\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Original Boarding passes.<\/p>\n If you are going to submit electronic boarding passes, please write on them the following declaration:<\/p>\n Expense claimed only on project Erasmus IP \u201cEuropean, Regions and Human Rights\u201d and sign them.<\/p>\n –\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Flight receipts.<\/p>\n In case you stay more than the 11 days foreseen, please provide evidence that the flight cost is not higher than it would be if you left on the departure day planned. Should the cost be higher, please note that according to the Programme policy, you will be entitled only to be reimbursed for the lower amount.<\/p>\n –\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Original Taxi\/bus receipts (only routes to\/from airport)<\/p>\n –\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Travel Costs Report .<\/p>\n b. You sign the attendance sheet every day during stay<\/p>\n c. You provide the University of Cagliari project coordinator, Anna Maria Aloi , with the Final Report before leaving Cagliari.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n Cost of stay:<\/b><\/p>\n University of Cagliari will organize accommodation and meals and will cover these expenses for you during the agreed 11 days. No other form of Subsistence Allowance will be given to participants.<\/p>\n It is very important that you keep and send all the original boarding passes\/receipts etc. to your Project Coordinator in due course after the Intensive Programme. In fact, once you will send the original copy of the above mentioned documentation to the University of Cagliari, the latter will check and approve them, and then release the funds for your reimbursement.<\/p>\n Should you have any query about eligible costs, please liaise with the Project Coordinator\u00a0Erasmus@unica.it<\/a><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n University computer service:<\/b><\/p>\n The university Wi-Fi system will be available for all participants after getting password from the ISMOKA.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Insurance<\/b><\/p>\n Students must take out insurance against accidents covering the duration of their stay in Cagliari. The policy covers any accident that might occur during didactic activities and it may be provided by their home university.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n Medical Assistance<\/b><\/p>\n EU students must have a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) or a temporary certificate as a substitute for the card.
