In 2009 this research was published by Giuffré under the title: “Rational weapons against contemporary terrorism”. The book was a 2010 finalist for the international “G. Falcone P. Borsellino” scientific prize, awarded by the Carlo Cattaneo University of Varese (Italy).
Her latest research stint abroad was in 2010 to the University of Ulster (Belfast, UK).
In 2011 she was awarded the “Antonio Beristain” prize by the Basque Institute of Criminology (Spain) for the following research on victims of terrorism: “The social fight against terrorism: some testimonies by victims of ETA”.
From 2011 to 2013 she was Research Fellow at the King Juan Carlos University working on the European project “Assessing support initiatives for victims of terrorism in the United Kingdom and Spain: Lessons for the European Context” (Principal partner of the project: Centre for the Study of Terrorism and Political Violence, University of St. Andrews, UK).
At the moment she is finishing her PhD on Analysis and Prevention of Terrorism at the King Juan Carlos University. Her dissertation, whose director is Prof. Dr. Rogelio Alonso Pascual, is on “Victims and the end of terrorism. A compared analysis: Spain, the United Kingdom and Italy” and will be presented in a few months.
