During the English Language 3 oral exam, the student will analyse a sample of communicative interaction and discuss its features and strategies.
The sample (a short conversation or dialogue) will be 3-5 turns long and will be chosen by the student (please hand in a paper copy to the lecturer during the exam).
The sample can be drawn from various text-types, for instance the student’s own personal experience, film and TV series dialogues, direct speech in newspaper and magazine articles, direct speech in literary texts, etc. The sample cannot be taken from the lessons or from the textbook, and cannot be borrowed from another student.
The student will examine the sample by means of the different theories presented during the lessons and in the textbook. The analysis of the sample will only serve as the basis for the entire oral exam.
Students without the sample cannot be admitted to the oral exam.
