|Abstract:||Fifth of the seven comedies of the Italian Humanist Titus Livius Frulovisi, the Oratoria stands out for being the best fruit generated by his activity as a teacher, that the author carried out in Venice during the first half of the XV Century. Moreover, the Oratoria appears to be more faithful to the ancient comedy than his other works. The critical text, based on the only copy that reached us, forms the core of this edition; the "nota al testo" is preceded by a short account of the author’s biography and by an introduction on the formal and linguistic characteristics of the Oratoria. The edition is furnished with an Italian translation, comment notes, index of names of persons and geographical names and index of manuscripts.|
